Where Troubles Melt Like Lemon Drops...

like lemon drops,
away above the chimney tops.
That's where you'll find me."

Watchin' till the mornin' comes creepin'
Green door, what's that secret you're keepin?"*

Some may not remember that this is actually a very old song that dates back to the 1950's.  It has been written about and re-recorded ever since.  Me, I still like the soft , original version that is on YouTube at the end.
It is no secret that these Etsy shops have a lot of beautiful items for sale.  Come and take a peek behind the green door!

It was a different day and age for sure in 1956. Jim Lowe, a disc jockey by trade and part-time country and

novelty tune songwriter enters a Greenwich Village apartment and records a song he has written, "Green Door"

and it goes all the way to #1in September and stays on the charts for an astounding 22

weeks. It took Elvis and "Love Me Tender" to knock "Green Door" from its #1spot.

The Wind In The Willows

"With the wind in the willows
The birds in the sky
There's a bright sun to warm us wherever we lie...
We have bread and fishes and a jug of red wine
To share on our journey with all of mankind".

"La vie est belle!"  Life is beautiful!. Patti

Enjoy a lovely song on YouTube at the end...a simpler time.
