Lavender's Blue Dilly Dilly...

I used to sing this rhyme to my children when they were little...such a lovely old fashioned nursery song that evokes beautiful images of lavender fields and happy childhood imaginative play!  

 " Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, lavender's green
When I am king, dilly, dilly, you shall be queen...

Pussy Willows...Spring Is Near


Even to this day, so many years away from my youth, I just love pussy willows...always have..always will..they are magical to my mind's eye.

Luv Mud...Love Maine

Maine is where the mud is...
Or will be soon.
Our very own special season of the year.
Mud Season..gotta love it...
Winter+Mud+Magic = Spring
Mud is where the heart is in Maine.

Seriously..I really do love mud, clay, ceramics..my first true love before photography, even before Harry (my wonderful husband) and children and grandchildren. Clay will always be a part of me. Just think about it..without it what would there (we) be?  

I have loved mud since I was a very little girl that would be about when I was 3 or so so it has been a 63 love affair with me and mud, and clay, and the earth...mud pies, "duck" soup with sticks and stones mixed in..to gardening and potting plants...to a ceramics major in college and grad school to teaching and sharing my mud love with 100's of junior high kids over a 15 year period..that's a lot of mud!
