I have found my new passion in art. It feels exhilarating to say that. I love creating my Art Mirrors, they allow me to explore all the things I love... vintage jewelry, buttons, mirrors , sculpture and even photography when I catalog them for Etsy.
They would make a beautiful gift for yourself or someone you love. I will be adding to my collection each week, exploring color as well as art periods. I am looking forward to creating an Art Deco piece and others that are inspired by my vintage jewelry and buttons.

Hand Mirror, Decorative Jeweled Art Mirror,
Radiant Reflections, Lustrous Mirror, Peach Blossom Floating In a Sea
Of Silvery Pearls! Royal, rich, and elegant all come to mind when you
look at this luxurious mirror. I have transformed a plain vintage peach
pearl and amber celluloid mirror into an elegant art mirror.
A
bold vintage enamel pin with a gold and pearl center is the focal point
in the "sea" of pearls, silvery and peach buttons, and amber beads.
Two delicate butterflies rest on their pearl pedestals. Silver glitter
encases it all into a magnificent whole. This art mirror is radiantly
beautiful. Due to its true vintage years, there is a slight
imperfection in the form of a light cloud in the mirror which can be
seen in sample 4. It adds to the overall vintage quality of this art
mirror.
The oval beveled mirror is 5 " (12.7cm) in diameter. It
measures over all 13 " (33cm) in over all length. I have used vintage
jewelry and buttons from my beautiful collection of vintage estate and
flea market finds. This is an art mirror. It may be used, but should be
treated with care.
The mirror comes beautifully gifted in a
black box with a soft chiffon "pillow" insert. (see sample 5) and a
clear view cover. The presentation is in keeping with the luxurious art
inside.
This is a limited edition of one. It is OOAK. There
are no other mirrors assembled that are the same. In college and
graduate school, assemblage was one of my favorite art forms of
expression.
This mirror and the new single editions of the ones
that will follow reflect my love of color, contrast, texture, and form.
It also embraces my sentimental attachment to vintage jewelry and
buttons. Buttons and jewelry remind me of hours spent in my childhood
playing with buttons in old fruitcake tins, and my mother's
"magnificent" collection of costume jewelry.
In creating the art
mirrors, I feel like I am stepping back in time to that wonderful
childhood place of endless imagination and fantasy, reminiscent of
playing "dress up". The mirror is crafted with meticulous care and
attention to detail, in a style reminiscent of the Art Nouveau period.
Upon
request, it would be my pleasure to enclose a gift card for the
recipient. The card will be a small photo note card with part of the
mirror's design on the front.
