Lavender's Blue Dilly Dilly...

I used to sing this rhyme to my children when they were little...such a lovely old fashioned nursery song that evokes beautiful images of lavender fields and happy childhood imaginative play!  

 " Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, lavender's green
When I am king, dilly, dilly, you shall be queen...

I love to dance, dilly, dilly, I love to sing;
When I am queen, dilly, dilly, You'll be my king."*

    My favorite memory of singing to my son was of this song when he was a little boy ♥ A true and genuine heartfelt memory.....Thank you for the memories!
