The expression "blushing bride" used to be a fairly common one. We do not hear it much any more. Guess blushes have gone by the wayside. Nevertheless, there are still a few lingering around and it is more fun to think of all brides as blushing and full of white lace and promises. So here is my ode to all the new brides to be may your day be as beautiful as your soul. I am featuring several shops from my Tagt Team on Etsy. Their shops will be spotlighted. Enjoy all these wonderful shops, each has something unique to offer. Of course I have The Carpenters on YouTube at the end singing one of my favorite songs. It still gives me goosebumps.

This lovely collage is made up of mostly vintage textiles and buttons. It is so soft and feminine! It has vintage and truly antique net lace trims, vintage buttons, transfers of copies of antique rose diecuts, vintage faux pearl necklace, vintage venise lace butterfly applique, black glass buttons and so much more embellishing this beauty. The red rose transfer on the vintage damask napkin heart is surrounded by tiny red ribbon and is placed on a vintage crochet doily. There is baby pink silk ribbon with tiny baby mother of pearl buttons resting on a bed of vintage filet and french laces. The base fabric is a vintage napkin. It is trimmed at the bottom with sheer french net lace, the top is with a scalloped venise type lace and the sides are framed with vintage filet lace. There is a thin layer of quilt batting and the backing is vintage rose barkcloth. There is a strip of wire coat hanger inside the top holding it stiff for hanging. The vintage cream ribbon hanger is attached to 2 mother of pearl buttons at the top back corners. There are two new charms on the front. The piece measures 13 x 14 inches (including lace trim a the bottom) and has a 7 inch deep hanger. Just as pretty from the back as it is from the front. Lovely victorian wall art for you home!
